The color combination in this particular style is spot on with a nice combination of saturated and subdued colors. A trick to incorporating such highly saturated colors successfully in a space without being painfully overwhelming is to think “less is more”. Incorporate more subdued colors in selective pieces, ie: the sofa, and drapery (areas of more visual weight)…in doing so, you allow for bright color in accents such as side chairs, throw pillows, rugs, art, and of course ill sculptural pieces like this mermaid statue for instance (which may be one of the most rad pieces i’ve seen in a long time).
